Science & Research

Cold-processed Triphala juice preserving the full polyphenol, tannin, and gallic acid profile of the three myrobalan fruits in their most bioavailable liquid form. The juice format is traditionally considered more potent for acute digestive concerns than the powder, as it delivers higher concentrations of water-soluble gallic acid, ellagic acid, and chebulagic acid directly to the intestinal mucosa without requiring dissolution. Research at UC Davis demonstrated significant prebiotic remodeling of the gut microbiome, with promotion of Bifidobacteria and Lactobacillus and reduction of pathogenic Enterobacteriaceae. Haritaki's chebulinic acid provides prokinetic support for colonic motility without stimulant-laxative dependence. The juice also provides significant antioxidant ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) value, approaching that of high-ORAC berries.

Clinical Key Functions

  • High ORAC antioxidant capacity comparable to premium berry juices*
  • Srotas-shodhana (channel cleansing) for daily detoxification support*
  • Tridoshic constitutional balancing in easily absorbable format*

Ayurvedic Philosophy

Triphala Svarasa (expressed juice) represents the most potent preparation of Ayurveda's most fundamental formula according to the Sharangdhara Samhita's preparation hierarchy. The juice format delivers higher concentrations of water-soluble gallic acid, ellagic acid, and chebulagic acid directly to the Koshtha (alimentary tract), providing more immediate Anulomana (directional movement of Vata) and Sroto-shodhana (channel-cleansing) action than the powder form. Classical texts describe Triphala as the rare Tridoshic Rasayana that can be taken daily for life (Nitya Sevaniya) without adverse effects — a distinction held by very few formulations. Its Svarasa format is specifically preferred for acute digestive presentations where rapid Agni-deepana (fire-kindling) and Mala-shodhana (waste purification) are needed.
