Science & Research
Cold-pressed Amalaki (Emblica officinalis) juice — one of the richest natural sources of bioavailable Vitamin C (600-1800mg/100g fresh weight), uniquely stabilized by the fruit's hydrolyzable tannin matrix (emblicanin A, emblicanin B, punigluconin, pedunculagin) which prevents oxidative degradation. This tannin-complexed vitamin C demonstrates 12× greater stability than synthetic ascorbic acid. Amalaki provides broad-spectrum antioxidant capacity through both hydrophilic (Vitamin C, gallic acid) and lipophilic (quercetin, kaempferol) pathways. Research demonstrates hepatoprotective activity, hypolipidemic effects, and immunomodulatory action through enhancement of NK cell activity and macrophage phagocytic function. Classified as the single most important rasayana in Ayurveda — a substance that promotes longevity and prevents aging across all tissue systems.

Ayurvedic Philosophy
Amalaki is considered the single most important Rasayana in all of Ayurveda. The Charaka Samhita declares: 'Amalaki is the best among rejuvenative herbs, the best among sour fruits, and the best among wild-grown medicines.' Its designation as 'Dhatri' (the nurse/mother) reflects its capacity to nourish and sustain all seven Dhatus from Rasa through Shukra. Amalaki is the exceedingly rare Tridoshic fruit that balances all three doshas simultaneously — its Amla Rasa (sour taste) might be expected to aggravate Pitta, but its Sheeta Virya (cooling potency) and Madhura Vipaka (sweet post-digestive effect) override this, making it the only sour substance that pacifies Pitta. The Svarasa (juice) format preserves Amalaki's heat-sensitive tannin-vitamin C complex that makes its Vitamin C uniquely stable and bioavailable.
