Where It Grows
Found in hilly areas of India including lower and central Himalayas down to Konkan, Deccan, Western Ghats, and South India. Distributed in Assam, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. Also found in China, Bhutan, Nepal, and Pakistan. Grows in variety of soils including light black cotton soil and sandy/rocky conditions up to 800-1500 meters altitude.
